מאות מהגרים ממוצא מרוקאי, התפרעו, הציתו מכוניות וקורקינטים חשמליים בבלגיה בעקבות ניצחונה של מרוקו אמש (ראשון) על הבלגים במונדיאל בקטאר. שרת הפנים הבלגית, אנליס ורלינדן אמרה בתגובה: "עצוב לראות איך כמה אנשים מנצלים לרעה מצב כדי להשתולל".
גם בהולנד נרשמו אירועי אלימות בעיר הנמל רוטרדם, כאשר מאות אוהדי כדורגל ממוצא מרוקאי השליכו על שוטרים זיקוקים וחלקי זכוכיות. כלי התקשורת בהולנד דיווחו גם על מהומות באמסטרדם ובהאג.
